Data Management Associate
Maintain databases utilizing CBORD products to support large customer and direct database projects for clients within database services. Responsibilities include participation in the establishment and maintenance of database standards, creating and maintaining data. Able to learn quickly without direction, ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Portray a positive solution oriented attitude and assumes a leadership role in business situations.
Qualifications: Associates degree and food production/nutrition experience desired. Efficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Product Support/Testing
Technical Support Specialist I
Provide installation, training, and telephone support for on-line point-of-sale (POS) systems. Provide technical and operations support (hardware and software) of POS system, both while on-site and via telephone (may occur outside regular business hours). Handle administrative duties such as maintain contracts, etc. and provide training to clients (on-site) as well as to co-workers while maintaining good working relations with vendors (Micros dealerships).
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or experience in point-of-sale systems and 2 years experience with customer service, technical support and/or implementations is preferred. Successful candidates will possess strong analytical, and communication skills, along with extensive experience with Windows operating systems, networking, and applications.  Technical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently required.

Technical Writer
Write and edit software and hardware bulletins, specifications, customer release notes, user manuals, online help systems, and reference guides according to established standards. Candidate will work with product management, marketing, development, service and quality assurance teams to produce high-quality end-user and technical documentation. Candidate must be able to explain complex material with simple language and meaningful diagrams, maintain the customer documentation web site, and archive documents. This position is located in the Ithaca, New York office.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years related experience writing hardware and software end user documentation and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Epic Editor (or other editing software) or XML, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp, and Adobe Photoshop preferred. Sample documentation work is required.

Areas of focus include print layout and design, proof reading, web layout and design, brand management, typography, timeline management and project management. Will utilize QuarkXpress, InDesign, Photoshop layout templates to produce web and print layouts. Regularly develop on-line marketing campaigns including banners and various graphics. Manage overall logo database, archive and graphic standard folders. POSITION LOCATED IN BOSTON OFFICE.

Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Superior project management skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Superior MAC design knowledge, as well as Windows-based applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in graphics/design desired -- including Quark, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat.

A Bachelor's degree in visual arts / design with approximately 2 years of experience, or a combination of education and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar field.

The position represents the CBORD foodservice products directly, and the full breadth of CBORD products indirectly. Works with the existing FMS Healthcare client base. An assertive and self-motivated personality is necessary for this position.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field with or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates must have previous software sales experience in the foodservice, healthcare, or related markets; experience in foodservice technology, or a combination of the above. Also required is a strong knowledge of computers and experience with Word and Excel.

Application Engineer
Responsible for supporting the sales effort by understanding the customer's current challenges and product requirements and articulating the value of CBORD products through a customized solution demonstration in conjunction with the assigned sales representative. As the industry/product expert, will also be involved in coordinating and contributing to the development of RFP responses and proposals. On-site presentations to all levels of the organization and all size audiences will be required in some of the sales cycles.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, candidates must present a motivated, positive, professional and enthusiastic image. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with strong organizational and time-management skills. The ability to work independently to provide technical problem solving is essential. Educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, or a two-year technical degree with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of practical experience.

Maintain and bill customer license fees, products, and services to large customer base using Great Plains. Must enjoy detail work. Will participate in monthly financial statement preparation.

Administrative Specialist
As a member of the Sales Administrative Team, this person will focus on the tasks required during the sales process prior to receiving an order/contract. The incumbent will work closely with the sales reps to manage the pre-order sales-related tasks. They will also provide backup to the Sales Support team. Functions will include first line of support to the sales team; preparing and formatting quotes; reviewing quotes for accuracy and completeness; entering quotes into a forecasting database; preparing literature packets, preparing contracts and addenda; preparing contract cover sheets; and possibly preparing daily check deposits.
Qualifications: An Associates degree and/or four years of experience in a similar position. Excellent Word and Excel skills are necessary. Excel expertise must be, at a minimum, at the intermediate to advanced level. Candidates need to possess the ability to focus on details and follow through on complex projects. Past experience with projects and being able to complete them efficiently and accurately is also a requirement for this position.
